Faucet Replacement and Repair
In most cases, we avoid repairing faucets unless they are rare, expensive, or you provide all the necessary materials for the repair.
In the plumbing industry, the most common issues with faucets include:
Leaky Faucets. Dripping or leaking faucets are often caused by worn-out washers, O-rings, or seals, which can waste water and increase utility bills. Solution: Replace the faucet, or repair in rare cases. Low Water Pressure. Reduced water flow can result from sediment buildup in the aerator, a clogged cartridge, or issues within the plumbing system. Solution: Clean the aerator or backflush the faucet. Faucet Handle Problems. Handles that are hard to turn, loose, or stuck can be due to worn-out cartridges, corrosion, or mineral deposit buildup. Solution: Replace the faucet, or repair/restore in some cases.
Spout Leaks. Water leaking from the base of the spout or around the faucet body is usually due to a damaged O-ring or seal. Solution: Replace the O-ring if possible, or replace the entire faucet. Dripping or Spraying from the Aerator. This is often caused by a clogged or damaged aerator, though it’s a very rare request.
Loose Faucet. A faucet that moves or wiggles when used may have loose mounting nuts. Solution: Retighten the faucet.
